Better Holidays Font for Bold Campaigns

It’s 9:15 a.m. on a Tuesday, and I’m staring at a blank canvas in Canva, trying to visualize the launch graphic for a seasonal product drop. The client wants something that feels fresh, fun, and instantly recognizable. I’ve tried a few options, but nothing quite clicks. Then it hits me—Better Holidays. This font isn’t just a typeface; it’s a mood booster for any campaign.

Better Holidays is a pair of script fonts designed to work in harmony. One has a soft, flowing feel, while the other adds a bit more structure and personality. Together, they create a dynamic visual rhythm that’s perfect for social media, ads, and promotional materials. It’s PUA encoded, so I don’t have to worry about missing characters when I start designing.

Crafting a Seasonal Social Media Campaign

For a recent Instagram campaign promoting a summer sale, I used Better Holidays to create a series of posts that felt cohesive yet varied. The font’s elegance made it ideal for headlines and callouts, while its playful curves added a sense of warmth and approachability. On mobile screens, where most of the audience will see the content, the font remains legible and eye-catching without overpowering the design.

I paired it with a clean sans serif for body text, which helped balance the script’s ornate details. The result was a visual flow that guided the viewer from the bold headline to the supporting message, all while keeping the brand’s voice consistent across platforms.

YouTube Thumbnails and Pinterest Pins

When designing YouTube thumbnails, every pixel counts. Better Holidays stood out as a strong choice for titles and labels. Its distinctive style made the thumbnails pop against dark backgrounds, and the font’s alternates allowed me to tweak certain letters for better visibility in small previews.

Pinterest pins also benefited from the font’s charm. Whether it was a recipe card or a DIY tutorial, using Better Holidays gave the visuals a polished, professional look that aligned with the brand’s aesthetic. The font’s versatility meant I could use it for both large headers and subtle accents without compromising readability.

Web Design and Email Banners

In web design, Better Holidays worked well for landing page headers and promotional banners. Its decorative nature made it perfect for attention-grabbing headlines, especially when paired with a modern typography system. For email campaigns, I used it for subject lines and CTA buttons, ensuring the message was clear and engaging even in a cluttered inbox.

One thing to note is that while Better Holidays shines in display text, it’s best used sparingly in longer paragraphs. For body copy, a simpler font like a serif or sans serif is more practical. But for headlines, logos, and key messaging, it’s a game-changer.

Designing for Different Backgrounds and Sizes

When working with dark backgrounds, the font’s contrast was essential. I adjusted the size and spacing to ensure it remained readable without looking cramped. On light backgrounds, the font’s subtle strokes didn’t get lost, making it suitable for everything from banners to social media profile pictures.

For fast-scrolling feeds, I kept the font’s use minimal and strategic. Too much of it could overwhelm the viewer, but when used correctly, it created a memorable visual signature that set the campaign apart.

Font Pairing and Style Options

Exploring the font’s alternates and ligatures gave me more creative freedom. I experimented with different letter combinations to match the tone of each post. Some variations felt more formal, while others leaned into a casual, handcrafted vibe. This flexibility made it easy to adapt the font to different parts of the campaign.

Pairing Better Holidays with a complementary script or handwritten font can add depth to a design. For instance, using it alongside a minimalist script for subheadings created a layered effect that felt both modern and nostalgic.

Practical Tips for Marketers

Before using Better Holidays in any campaign, I always check the file formats and licensing terms. Since it’s a commercial font, I make sure it’s properly licensed for the intended use—whether that’s for an online shop, client project, or digital ad set.

Also, testing the font on different devices and screen sizes is crucial. What looks great on a desktop might not translate well to a mobile thumbnail. I usually create a few versions of each design to ensure the font performs well across all platforms.

For those new to using script fonts, starting with a single headline or logo-style text is a safe bet. Once the design feels right, you can gradually incorporate more of the font into the overall layout.

Real-World Application

During a webinar promotion, I used Better Holidays for the banner and social shares. The font’s personality matched the event’s theme, and its legibility ensured the key details were easy to spot. The result was a visually cohesive campaign that drove engagement and increased sign-ups.

Another time, I used it for a branded content series on Instagram. By consistently applying the font across posts, stories, and highlights, we built a stronger brand identity that resonated with the audience.

Better Holidays isn’t just a font—it’s a tool that helps marketers communicate with clarity and creativity. Whether it’s for a short headline, a callout, or a decorative title, this font brings energy and sophistication to any campaign.
