Dangellio: A Script Amp That Feels Like a Handshake
Where to Use It—And Where to Pause
- Short brand marks (3–6 characters ideal)
- Product names on premium packaging
- Hero headers on landing pages and portfolio sites
- Decorative accents in editorial layouts (chapter openers, section dividers)
- Social posts highlighting values (“Hand-poured,” “Small-batch,” “Made with care”)
- Merchandise where tone matters more than utility (tote bags, enamel pins, greeting cards)
- Body copy or long-form web text
- Small UI elements (button labels under 16px)
- High-contrast signage requiring instant legibility
- Brands leaning heavily into tech, finance, or industrial aesthetics
Designer Notes You’ll Actually Use
- Test it in black and white first. Some script fonts rely on color or texture to mask weak spacing—Dangellio doesn’t need that crutch, but verify it holds up without visual assists.
- Check readability at 14pt on screen and 10pt in print. Its lowercase ‘l’, ‘i’, and ‘t’ remain distinct, but only if your tracking isn’t too tight.
- Mock it up on real surfaces: Print a label mockup on kraft paper, drop it into a Shopify product page, paste it onto a Canva Instagram template. Does it still feel right—or does it shrink into decoration?
- Compare case treatments. Dangellio’s uppercase letters are bolder and slightly wider—ideal for logos—but lowercase shines in editorial contexts. Don’t force all-caps usage unless the brand voice demands emphasis.
- Pair it deliberately. Try Dangellio beside a warm serif (like Adobe Garamond), a neutral sans (Inter or Poppins), and even a grounded handwritten font (for contrast layers). Avoid pairing with other script fonts—it’s strong enough to stand alone or anchor a duo.
